BYOB Stitch n' Bitch April 25, Thursday, 7pm-9pm

Looking for a fun and productive night out? Want to make some new friends and pick up a crafting skill? Katie of "Life is Made" will be hosting a Stitch n' Bitch at Egg Playspace. You can bring your own knitting, sewing or embroidery project to work on or you can start an embroidery with supplies and guidance provided. Bring your drink of choice and your crafting spirit. BYOB Learn to Applique May 16, Thursday, 7pm-9pm
Cost: $15 with RSVP, $25 drop-in
Katie of "Life is Made" will teach you how to make appliqued onesies and canvas bags. Or, you can bring your own item to applique, a t-shirt, a pair of pants, a bib, the sky's the limit! These will make great gifts for a new baby or a friend. We will be cutting shapes out of fun fabrics and ironing them onto our item and then finishing them with a stitch around the edge. Mommy and Me Crafting Hour in DUMBO
Prince and Princess Crowns May 3, Friday, 4pm-5pm
Cost: $15 with RSVP, $25 drop-in All ages, with caregiver
Katie and Emily from "Life is Made" will teach you and your little one how to make a felt and fabric crown. We will construct prince and princess crowns from felt and fabric and embellish them with jewels, flowers, ribbons and anything else you can think of. Supplies will be provided, but please feel free to bring any items you wish to add to your little prince or princess' crown. Some ideas for crafting supplies you might want to bring are: the cut-out image or text from a old onesie or t-shirt, a vintage scarf or handkerchief, a superhero patch or a special fabric. Plant a Windowsill Herb Garden May 10, Friday, 4pm-5pm
Cost: $25 with RSVP, $35 drop-in All ages, with caregiver
Katie and Emily from "Life is Made" will teach you and your little one how to plant a windowsill herb garden. We will provide the dirt, plants and planters; all you need to bring is your green thumb (well, really anyone can do this project)! This is a hands-on way to teach your kid a little something about nature and how to care for plants. Plus, fresh herbs smell great around your home and are perfect for cooking year-round.
